And that in depth explanation should be coming from Dave, but he has seen fit to mushroom us.
Im not a miner, but I think logically there must be three processes to locate ore
My guess is if any one of these steps is miscalcualted, then it automatically throws out the subsequent steps no matter how accurately they are performed?
- Some type of marking out the ore body (probably using the assay holes as a reference)
- Drilling blast holes into the ore body.
- Predicting where the ore will be after the blasting.
As I recall from Daves presentations, the problem has been in step 3. He said Calidus is now using a new method, OrePro, which is predictive software. It doesnt use a scanning drone post blast.. Take a look here
Theres quite a few other technologies around to help with blastc Control. This one from BMT uses ball beacons and a scanning drone. Video 1 Video 2
Which of those two systems do you think would be more accurate? I guess whatever technology you use, you have to have someone experienced who knows how to use that software too. Does CAI have that?
You also have the explosives guy working with the mine Geo to ascertain the type of rock to decide what charge to use.
My guess is that with a stable workforce, all these people have gone through the process dozens of times and have worked it all out through trial and error, whether they are highly qualified or not. I mean, theres no substitute for practical experience. Maybe this crap guidance is the best Dave can come up with until his workforce develop some rhythm and symbiosis . and produce the results he expects?
No good hosting a webinar if people dont get their questions answered like one chap found out. C'mon, Dave, stop mushrooming is, and give us the nitty gritty. We're not stupid.
