I doubt that there's anyone down as much as I am on paper in this investment and have more oppies to convert than I now have. The fact is that you can shit-can SYC as much as you like but to what avail? The only people you are harming are those holding shares who don't have the funds to buy more. As much as today's dumping was unexpected and painful, I am happy to have grabbed 60% more oppies at nearly half the conversion price. I just hope I won't live to regret it in the short term because I'm without the spare cash at present to cover them. But as the saying goes, "fortune favours the brave"!
When the company previously had a CR, the same exact same criticisms were leveled at management... that they stated that there was no reason to raise, that the co had sufficient cash on hand, etc. (99% of companies say that and the smart ones don't wait til funds run dry)... yet the SP went on an almighty rerate subsequent to that CR. This time around, yes, it was different... different market and different share registry makeup. A lot of LTH with the weight to move the SP this time around, Scooty.
The question that should be asked is: "Who was it that sold shares immediately after the CR?" That's who I would be pointing the finger at for the demise in the SP (if I was going to blame anyone, which I am not). SYC cannot wave a magic wand and make the SP not drop when a large entity decide to implement a plan that looks achievable given the right circumstances. I'm only just learning this aspect of investing in this end of town as I go along and mostly in hindsight come to understand it.
The one and only thing which I believe is incumbent upon SYC to do at this very juncture is to release news that pertains to one of our developments namely the URI therapy patent. That will arrest any further SP decline or a repeat of today's action, IMO. Friday's webinar was obviously scheduled with that development in mind and who knows what other news is ready for release also (to precede the webinar) but not quite finalised. My guess is that someone is in the know and took very quick advantage of an opportunistic window that availed. Anyway, enough dribble from me... still looking fwd to some insightful thoughts from others on the URI therapy patent publication... but somehow I suspect all others want to keep it quiet. Scooty... have you any thoughts on it? Might be tricky to find it since other posters keep trying to bury the link and the subject by posting on the other threads.
