I thought the institutions had a renounceable right - not retail investors?
Also, if you owned shares on friday 23rd April, then I presume it would be safe to offload 20% of your shares locking in a profit from $5.75, assuming you take-up the retail offer. Since it's t+3, you could have sold once trading resumed this week.
Please let me know if this is incorrect...
