Yes it looks like Hohnen is being a bit more cagey about what he says to the Australian media.

"We are aware that they have conducted a review and will consider what they bring forward. Kalahari has not intimated to Extract that it would block (a joint venture) - obviously it is in the interests of our shareholders to consider all options."
It may be true, that Kalahari have not received a formal proposal from Extract, with regards to a JV with Rio, and Kalahari may not have intimated to Extract, directly, that they would block any such proposal.
However Hohnen is definitely letting Rio, Extract and the market know, unofficially, Kalahari's view on any JV proposal.
Or what else could he mean by?
