The company owns 100% interest in Oregon Resource Corpration Inc. who was the owner of the Oregon Heavy Minerals project. The project is located near Coos Bay in the Cape Arago district of southwest Oregon, USA. The project is prospective for heavy minerals, including chromites, garnets and zircon. The company commenced exploration activities on the project and plans to drill an additional 8,300 ft of sonic core. Total ore reserves were estimated at 1.38Mt @ 14.9% chromite, 5% garnet, 1.4% zircon and 1.6% magnetite. Total resources were 12.89Mt @ 8.4% chromite.

Agreement:
As at July 2009, the company's wholly owned subsidiary, Oregon Resources Corporation has entered into a MOU with IGC Technologies LLC. Under the agreement, IGC will be the exclusive distributor of the High Iron product to the foundry market. As at June 2009, IDM announce that its wholly owned subsidiary Oregon Resources Corporation (ORC) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with HA International Inc. Under the MOU HAI will be the exclusive distributor of the ORC chromite to the foundry market in North America.
