tilt train too sophisticated for queenslanders to , page-12

I rode on it a couple of years ago, from Brisbane to Maryborough (?). The train rarely got up to its true speed potential due to as soon as they sped up a bit on a straight stretch they had to fairly quickly slow down for a corner.

Great technology and we should have more of them around the country but I couldn't help thinking that it was a shame that Queensland hadn't put some more effort/money into straightening out the tracks so that it could be a 'real' fast train.

This unfortunate incident might finally get some more rail investment (rather than just patch-up jobs) happening.

    Cheers
    OG
