    @bellcurve - thanks for publishing this - it won't make an impact on the posters here.
    it's the same with the climate change debate.
    I love the description of these alternative views as 'outliars' - and know it should correctly have been 'outliers'

    What I would find interesting would be personality studies of people who have a need to do what they term as 'thinking outside the box', because it includes some very intelligent people - possibly not rigorously trained thinkers, nor professional in any way, but intelligent people who function well or normally within society.

    Climate or health events around us take on a life of their own and 'the climate' doesn't care whether we think its changing or not, it does its own thing. We will eventually have to change our behaviour when it becomes blatantly obvious that change is needed.

    Similarly with health issues - if I were cynical, but i am not - I would say: disease is a way of culling a species!
