More experienced O&G followers here can correct me, but I was told by an O&G M/D, that most O&G J/V agreements provide each partner with the ability to sole fund wells, and presumably the development of the project. I would have thought that WGO would baulk at that prospect - but Hancocks would be a totally different ball-game. H have the cash, and H have the engineering and development experience. What they might lack, they would go and get. If H want to develop WE, and STX play "funny buggers", then H would step forward. Having said that, I still think H game plan is to process WE gas thru STX Hub.

jake Most JVOA’s have a sole risk clause for exploration, but developments could be a whole different ballgame. I have not personally seen it happen as it is not generally envisaged. never say never but I still think commercial logic will prevail. SN not winning many friends across the industry with these moves. AL
