The short answer is... It depends.
The exact chemistry of that particular Adesto CBRAM is unknown.
There are loads of different chemistries, each with a different cost + other metric delta.
Someone who would know is Coby, considering he has people working for him that were probably involved in its creation.
Either way, I highly doubt it will be cheaper to manufacture, and have the same retention qualities as OxRAM.
I would suggest due to some customer requirement GF needed something as a stop gap until WBT's ReRAM is qualified @22nm + Automotive temps etc.
Rather than speculate, I suggest someone reaches out to him and asks the specifics.
