So based on your understanding of this topic, can you explain to me why Mexico - which has pretty restrictive gun laws, I would say reasonably comparable to Australia (and indeed they have about the same number of firearms per capita as Australia and literally two gun stores) - has 4 times the firearm homicide rate of the USA?
Also, "reinterpret" is rubbish. The founding fathers understood that citizens should be as armed as the government.
I would accept further gun control as an argument for the US so long as the military and police are also disarmed. Otherwise, nope.
