i would advise you to look at mozz's post a handful above mine as I don't think I can do much better than that.

I would add that as far as I am aware the data is 'in'. ie it's all been gathered but it's embargoed. ie the company does not have all the data that mozz is referring to. an external party is looking at bio markers / womac etc and aggregating this. I am no expert but i was surprised at how complicated this is and at the time it takes, it takes weeks.

so essentially
data is in
people outside par are analysing it
when they have done their thing they send the summary and underlying to par.
THEN the company decides if it's material and if so they go into a trading halt.
then par spends 1-3 days working out what they legally have to say to the Asx and what they want to say to shareholders. remember they don't necessarily want to say everything as a peer review paper is potentially in the works.
after par has got their ducks in a row they will likely call a shareholder webinar, release the info they want and then the shares can trade.

one last point. the timing around oarsi if it happens is coincidental. there is no way they could have lined this up and I don't believe they are trying to do it on purpose.

if the data is good and they (and mozz) are there, then happy days. but oarsi isn't at all driving any timelines.
