    @Cricket1016

    I was looking at Peabody results early in the morning ( after mid night) and realised that Coronado might make a fairly nice profit in December qtr.

    So, all that said I'll take my comments of barely profitable back.
    frown.png I missed the saleable coal Dec v Sep and also saw that Peabody made $187m for December qtr on 2 tonnes of met coal sold and very high costs. This is a great way to compare. It's almost like for like except Peabody has 2 underground mines which would be why the cost os mining is more than Coronado. All their (Peabody) met coal mines are in Qld except for one that is in the US.

    Just know that Peabody sales mix is 70% thermal and 30% met so overall Peabody made most of it's profit from thermal during 2022. Not sure they will go so well in 2023 based on thermal prices now.

    So if December costs for BTU were $128p/t (that's very high), CRN costs are likely to be under $100 so how much did CRN make in the Dec qtr?

    Apologies to all for stupid post as well as analysis.
