The great dichotomy in life is being rewarded as you go for hard work.

Imagine someone who works their butt off for 45 years working paying their tax and not asking for a thing from the government. Then they retire or get retrenched and they get the "middle finger" from the human services. They are not rewarded for their commitment nor gaining any advantage for being a long term contributor


The same appears to occur in the share market. Those who stick by a company through highs and lows are no better of than someone who buys in just before the divvy and then nicks off to invest somewhere else.

If a company (that has grown and now producing like a cash cow) makes $3.2B in a financial year than the shareholders who were around should get rewarded. A special dividend should be given to those who were holders during the year not at the end. IT's not hard to do.

This is thinking aloud....not a bitch whinge.
