my understanding is that the republicans aren't against the legislation per se - they don't want to see it rushed thru' without more scrutiny

remember the bailouts and how swiftly they were enacted with very few senators with any real grasp as to what it has cost their country

apart from a handful of senators, most are either way in over their heads and/or are in the pockets of big buisness

i used to think that in order to become a wall streeter, one must go under intensive therapy to cleanse oneself of ethics and morality - apparently, it's a natural disorder
