Drilling technically commenced because it was reported officially in their latest ASX announcement, and they found lithium alright - albeit at a sub economic level.

So we can infer it’s game over already.

But wait - it’s actually déjà vu!

Wind back to their nickel drilling in early 2021 as the results became weaker and weaker. You’d notice the MD just kept drilling and drilling and wasted circa $30m with nothing commercially viable to show for it now.

We can rationally assume the same theme will resurface (as history tends to repeat with the same useless MD at the helm for 17 years) as SQM have already committed to drill.

I assume SQM won’t hang around for long - I give it a year tops.
