Alexi, I'm not sure you are an industry insider. The data when acquired is an unuseable set of digital data. It has to be processed by specialists to generate a cube of seismic data (taking about 6 months) that the company' in-house goeoscientists can interpret, a process that takes a further 3 months or so. If the data needs to be processed for an extra month to make it as good as possible, then that is worthwhile doing. The acquisition of the data is over 90% of the cost, the processing about5-10% of the cost and the in-house work about 1-2% of the cost, but that is where the prospects and all the value is generated. It wouldnt make sense to scrimp on the last 1%.
