I think the view of the management is the DRP at a discount is a reward to loyal sharehders.
Completely separate to the share buyback that increases the EPS for all shareholders.
I don't agree with share buybacks when you're funding them through debt & you have good opportunities to invest the funds in the business or via an acquisition.
I'd rather see them drop it completely.
I'd rather have a management that ignores the share price than is obsessed with it that it impacts it's decisions.
The share price will follow the performance of the business & the CEO has plenty of skin in the game.
