Ok, so that has plenty of reasonable things to rant about. Must say, I have a few of the same frustrations it I guess I balance that with the blunt realisation that not everything is within there control.
Further it is absolutely all about what is affordable.

There has been feedback (in a constructive way) to the board to be mindful that the understanding of what they put out to the shareholders is often not what they think it is. I personally get the feeling that at times they don’t understand why we don’t understand. That said, there has been a significant shift in communication strategies and the messaging is clearer, consistent, more in depth, regular flowing and importantly mor descriptive to avoid misinterpretation.

For example, in negotiations is a very tough one when you are the sales lead. I have worked and continue to work with a companies that do very significant deals. Many $M in a single sale. The bigger the deal, the higher probability that negotiation will take years to mature. When it comes to joint ventures/strategic partnerships it is a huge undertaking. There are highly confidential negotiations and courting activities are painfully slow until they hit a tipping point.

Anyway, I know this won’t change your wonder but that is my perspective and why I still am here. I have huge faith in the drug and can see a board that is listening and acting
