I am guessing Hotfire got to find out from his/her broker looking for sophisticos to tip in.
The 2% plus fall in the US yesterday was probably a giveaway that a CR was coming. I suspect a lot of those guys selling in dear U S of A were aware of the upcoming cr and were liquidating to participate in it.
All this is hearsay so place no reliance on it. Only one fact:
I really hate CRs!
