The US is most vulnerable to supply chain shocks in the uranium industry because it has the world's largest nuclear reactor fleet - nuclear power accounts for ~20% of electricity production in the US.In the last 72 hours the US has introduced the Nuclear Fuel Security Act (NFSA). This Act aims to establish domestic nuclear fuel production to protect against a disruption of Russian supplied “enriched” uranium.At almost the same time, a US bill (H.R.1042) was proposed to ban imports of enriched uranium from Russia.
