If Tesla buys Sigma for $6b USD my maths tells me on a snakes and ladders analysis PLS takes a walk all the way to a $25b valuation with Cailix and POSCO to come on top. I’m a bit confused about what happens tomorrow morning if the Sigma interest materialises, does the market tank or take off. If the CATL announcement is a last ditch ploy to extricate themselves and others from heavy short covering losses it may backfire, none of the multiple companies have even signed any such tie up agreements yet so CATL could be getting ahead of itself and a bit strange to be talking it up before any announcements are made by a car manufacturer or lithium miners regarding agreeing to any 10% discount on raw materials. PLS might tell them to go $$ck themselves.
