In country areas of Italy, the home owners have the prospective buyers to dinner to decide if they are 'suitable' to buy the property and live with the rest of the community.

Only difference is, it's not shouted from the hilltops, it's just the way it's done.
Quaint, and pretty sensible imo....

This whole debacle has been poorly handled, and resulted in the most recent Real Estate Agent upping signs and not being her agent any more!
I can agree with SOME of the things she's said in the past, but she's been really stupid over publicising this!
