It won't be like that. Manufacturers will stop making ICE vehicles and parts will only come from wreckers. Fuel producers will have to close servos due to lower sales. Some ICE vehicles will survive under the ownership of enthusiasts.
It will not be a left wing determination. The conservatives in the UK have said they will ban new sales of diesel and petrol cars by 2030
It will be a transition over probably 20 years. There were not many horse/cart combos still around in 1930.
