I've done alot of exploration and 99% of the time, early stage you are working out path, ruling out other paths.

Once you get past that, you got source.

The easy bit starts then as its sizing.

Also with a 1km deep porphyry, far easier to follow mineral outwards from it, than tying to find mineral towards it.

It would for example be a waste to drill more East under sediments, looking surface down.

They nail source in West and of open west, they follow it from depth up in the east.

If east had outcroping, that would be easy, but has not.

Here as mentioned, we just want discovery hole. Nothing else matters.
