I note some pervasive uncertainty about the political will to keep this re-tooling towards electrification going...
I think this thinking is misguided, because:
    • This re-tooling is not driven by political response to Swedish teenage anxiety but is a classic case of engineered creative destruction (Schumpeter).
    • Western ruling class is intentionally destroying the old fossil fuel system and forcing a new system of production into being.
    • It is not motivated to "save the planet" - that's a facade, but instead, its designed to keep our industrial rulers fortunes growing and their political power intact. Why do you think every major corporate/institution jumped all over this when it first "appeared"?
    • The old fossil-fuel based system was maxed out - just look at global GDP growth for the last 20 years...
    • Our industrial rulers have decided to engineer a new system, ergo, I see no risk of this re-tooling stopping, in fact, I expect it to accelerate.
I firmly believe this thematic remains the basis for a reasoned long term portfolio strategy.
