Here's the chart of the gold price in AUD over the past 8 years. The price is now close to its highs. If CAI is struggling to make a profit under these buoyant conditions, I'd say its future is looking quite uncertain. I would have thought that the current POG in AUD would have looked like a fantastic outcome and opportunity for any goldminer starting 4 years ago. Yet here we are today, and holders are just hoping the gold price increases even further just to make this mine work.
