I believe antidepressants have proven to be useless. If you have severe burns the initial response is ice for obvious reasons ( cold ice that is, from water) So i would imagine that a traumatic event would have to counteracted in a similarly powerful positive way. Maybe removing a traumatised person into a fantasy world for long enough would allow them to re-evaluate, reassess and regrow when they return to normality. My opinion only. Lets hope it works.
