Whilst I agree that giving out some timelines could be useful, they would still be indicative (i.e. educated guesswork), as there would be too many variables outside of their control.
I can guarantee that any variation to extend dates would give alot of contributors the ammunition to have a go at the board for "getting it wrong" yet again.
