...so they build a plant they dont need to spend money on (plenty nearby)
...then they process the easy pickins to generate cash to drill more
...they pay the MD big money during this time
...they keep drilling until they run out of gold
....during this time (10 years or so) they have paid the MD heaps and turned all their cash into drilling and eventually have no cash and no more resource
....during this time (10 to 15 years) they return nothing to shareholders, the share becomes NIL, as gold gone, and MD retires on the $millions received in salary

seems a lot of gold miners run on this model
