Only a guess but some of it would likely relate to tonnage for any future off takes.

This is being taken care of as we speak building the pilot plant to show it’s possible at scale.

Expect this will involve some delays along the way as they work out the perfect process at scale but that may also mean the timelines given are conservative.

Be hard to convince a battery major to sign up for a new tech if you can’t supply the volume they need. We were told at AGM the pilot plant can do 8Tonne per year or 36M odd 5aH cells so that’s a good start for small scale stuff like drones and tools (would make around 3.6m cordless tools batteries), but they will hopefully need over 1000 times this amount if EV market adopts it and it gets legs.

So will need to prove it can be done at scale then secure some off takes then scale it up again and hopefully again and again and again.
