Only Skol if you believe the official manipulated down US inflation figures. I don't. Shadowstats.com tells us the real story.

For example, if you were working in 1980, then you'd be quite OK only having an income about 150% more today. If that is the case, unless you were earning an absolute fortune in 1980 dollars I reckon you'd be battling now.

Or, for example, how many properties do you know of that were $45,000 in 1980 and are only $118,800 now? Tell me one and I'll go and buy it tomorrow.
