the supertax only applies to companies which are mining resources. CFE only trades / sells them so the new tax wont have to be taken into account. I doubt that it will go through anyway.

Actually it makes CFE's Marampa iron ore project a standout opportunity for any Chinese investors and I think this panic will be pretty shortlived.

What was the government thinking when they released the Henry report ? Did they buy put options on BHP / RIO / CFE , etc. before releasing the report ?

There are certainly people who made money out of this fiasco !!
