The previous record was anecdotally held by the tail gunners in the British lancaster bombers in WW2 with a life expectancy of 6 weeks.
The figure of 4 hours was for conscripts sent to the frontline at Bahkmut with minimal training; I think it was a Ukrainian report from a western volunteer and may well be inaccurate. It is reported that concripts are being sent in so that trained soldiers can be withdrawn to fight another day.
The slaughter is horrible but it seems Zelensky plans to fight to the last; hopefully Duda will not do the same to Poland. There are reports that he is also jewish.
