I know I should technically have deleted my account but I feel obliged to answer this because I sort of brought it up.
My feeling is that while what is going on is terrible, it is largely a result of mismanagement of the energy industry due to long term neglect. People are now suffering. I know there are lots of corruption issues overall and mismanagement which has pissed people of. People want action now. What do you think the top policy of the government is going to be with this backdrop? To turn peoples lights back on by investing in energy and new markets like gas and to reduce corruption in these areas. All this talk of the downfall of the government are way overblown imo. It is just thugs trying to intimidate corrupt officials. That's my take. Interested in any saffa's opinion on this
