Some people get itchy feet when they hold a stock for more than a week, or a month. Provided you are not gambling because of lack of understanding of accounts, I do not understand it.
Pick your industries, pick your potential outperformers, pick your target purchasing kevels and price, and commit.
Only adjust when the fundimentals of the company books, or in this case resource extraction potential, or market sentiment move significantly.
I have an average hold of over 3 years and average rate of return on those holds of over 70% - including my "lessons" where companies have gone belly up.
Who cares if there is a wall. No wall will keep out the hordes forever. It is our job to work out if the hordes are traders, or bandits.
