splitupalip, it will only get smashed up in parliament if people like you and I contact our representatives and express our displeasure.
I have contacted both House and Senate reps this morning and told them I will vote against them if they back the mining tax. One of them got back to me within 1 hr and said it's only a "proposed" tax at this stage. She is Labour.
