Can anyone here explain the phenomenon that is a "near death experience"?

I urge you to study some of these, there are websites on the net dedicated to them. And no they are not for profit.

It is amazing how similar these "NDE"s are to each other. There is one common theme in the overwhelming majority of them and that is that when they die, they experience an overwhelming feeling of love that is unparalleled on earth. The white light is also somthing that is very common in NDE's from decades ago right up to today.

Some may think this is all just garbage and there was a time where I would have thought the same. But you cannot deny that these exist. There are countless episodes of people flat lining where they are out of their body (creepy) and dead and when they get brought back, they can tell the doctor or anyone who was in the room at the time everything that went down.

To me these NDE's are the closest thing to living proof that we have of a life after death. They are real IMO...I have studied them profusely and with a lot of skepticism.

Sure, you could be forgiven for thinking that these guys are all just loonies. But when you read of how similar and consistant they are in the way they describe this place after death (when they "should" be just non existant) you cant help but begin to wonder if they are true.
