Mulga Bill doesn’t have much cover but it has very strong weathering which has dissolved the gold out of the top 80m and deposited it in a supergene enriched layer from 80m to 100m depth (and maybe deeper still as we will see whether this visible gold is supergene). Depending on grade, this is still shallow enough for an open cut. Grades over 2g/t should pay for the stripping, but we are hoping to get off chops ultra bonanza grades which will definitely pay for the stripping of 80m of overburden.

I don’t think underground mining is the best option because the best grade is at to the base of weathering where underground mining is difficult due to poor ground conditions.
