There are a number of large coal fired power stations closing in the next 5 years starting with Liddell next month.
There is quite a few solar/wind farms being built or proposed which will need storage capacity.Not forgetting mining and remote communities.
Maybe AVL should bite the bullet and build the electrolyte plant and buy the pentoxide from USV initially. I can't see the refinery operating for at least 3 years, hopefully AVL is BUILDING batteries before then.
I don't know why VRFB's still have not done better here, yes they are more expensive upfront but the electrolyte does not degrade and is recyclable, plus the battery lasts longer.AIMO.
