    personally I think your talking absolute rubbish, for a start your argueing not with me but the Wikipedia... secondly to say there is not such thing as optimism makes you look foolish IMO... The Oxford English Dictionary defines optimism as having "hopefulness and confidence about the future or successful outcome of something; a tendency to take a favorable or hopeful view." The word is originally derived from the Latin optimum, meaning "best." Being optimistic, in the typical sense of the world, ultimately means one expects the best possible outcome from any given situation.

    of course there is such a thing as optimism, what the hell are you on?....... I am optimisitic in my stocks that I hold, if I was pessimistic I wouldnt be holding...geez
