As recently retired farmers, I call total BS on this excuse. Any farmer would be more than happy to be generously compensated in a situation where so much is at stake, I can say this with confidence.
The more excuses they come up with, rather than practical solutions, the deeper whole they are digging for themselves.
If anyone knows the exact address of the land involved, It is possible to contact the land holder to find out their side of the story.
The more inactive the BOD's become, the more proactive we should be.
