Im def an athiest but at the same time will always explore and be open to research and debate other views, and maybe even change my own...or not.
Most people live in hope.
Hope that we do go somewhere nice when our time is up.
I guess the first thing to work out is, are we living our life now?... or is this just a certain stage in the game.
I personally feel most people on earth are not that happy.
Sure we may act the part, but deep down people probably dont want to be here IF they knew there was something better somehwhere else.
So I guess I think religious believers are actually HOPING to somewhere else, maybe not today or tomorrow, but feel the need to prepare.
Others, I guess athiests, dont feel they need to prepare as they dont really think there is anything to prepare for, and if there is......we'll just take it as it comes, and maybe thats in fact our personality playing out.
Maybe atchiests are just stubborn, maybe believers are just niave, or very bright, or somewhere in between.
Its hard for me to believe in somehthing I havent felt, seen, heard or smelt.
Reality is we dont know what happends when we die, and maybe the reason we dont is the reason why we dont know.
Imagine we found out you go to some great place when you die....do u think death levels would go up?
Its an interesting question, because really, if we knew we could go somehwere else, perhaps to past family and friends, and eventually we all get there anyway, that some of us would prefer just to leave early.
Maybe again this is why we dont know what happends.
If we knew there would be chaos.
Maybe we already know by the fact when a loved one dies they dont exactly come back, well not in the same form , knock on the door and say, hi im home.
Why dont they?
Maybe they cant, maybe they are happy knowing we will be along shortly, maybe they are just dead, maybe they are here watching over us like some amusement game.
