It amazes me that the RBA can come out and say that (Bloomberg article) a couple of days after raising rates and forecasts of significant economic growth.

Are they reacting to a night of panic trading on Wall Street?

Surely the RBA should not be swept up in the panic and start forecasting doom and gloom in complete contradiction to what they have just said. That's the last thing nervous markets should be hearing today.
