As someone who runs a mining company in this country ,let me tell you that no bank will touch an Australian mining project until this issue is resolved . The large swing factor in the economics , combined with the uncertainty that has been created , has created an untenable situation . So it is not just about the machanics of the new tax that is in issue anymore
This is reality , not a scare campaign . If you do not understand that , then it is clear you are living in fantasy land .
