What most punters dont realise is that since Putin took over in Russia
in 1998 that the standard of living for the average Russian has increased
immensely as evidenced by the chart below and, IMO , this is why
Putin hasn't been debunked already:


The Russian economy took a hit in 2014-15 following the take over of the Crimea and the start of this war then
but it has not deteriorated to 1998 levels (yet)
