woteva,
I can stand to be corrected..but I think you quote old news. They need to put in two "tunnels". One is the development, essentially a safe roadway not too far behind/away from the orebody, then access the orebody with short drives. From there it appeared to me that they drove a roadway through the orebody so that the material removed is 60% of the crossectional area of the roadway (just rock), and the ore body 40%.
They then rock bolt the roof to stop a few stray rocks falling down and blast the roadway parallel though the body (say) hundreds of metres. In one of the top corners of the roadway the ore is evident. This stope is then lightly blasted (it is 15 m deep angled up to the previous production roadway) and it drops into the roadway, and hauled out.
The second development roadway becomes part of the haulway. So there are two roads. You can't use the one you dragged ore from because I guess it is too dangerous long term - on one side looking up into a corner is a void, and looking down the opposite corner is another void.
The haulway which progresses down as the mining in the adjacent production roadway, has NO, repeat NO gold. Occassionaly they intersect rich but thin cross cutting veins. I seriously doubt any of this material is fed into the mill. Maybe a nibble here, a nibble there, thats it.
Everything I know from a visit and reading their reports and Mk1 eyeballs.
I hold my contention that there is no 14 g/t average (so far). If there was, the statistical data collected since the beginning of Warrior would be reported on as they are sampling from the ore face all the time.
As markets can remain bouyant or oversold longer than you have money, it is quite possible that they could be mining this desert of un-gold until they fail to reach the 50g/t stuff that lifts the average. And THAT'S the real problem!
So, my complaints about Board/Management are because they failed to husband cash and there seemed, reading the reports, to be a lot of "we are trying to refine our mining technique". Like, its not as if they are the first to mine a sloping ore body.
The emphasis on "locating the next pod" using some sensing techniques, is clearly saying that you can't just mine out everything and finish with 14g/t which is the implication everywhere in their reports. The reality seems to be there is an average of 14g/t, ...if only we can find it.
I would love someone who knows to tell me my thinking is BS, and why. Otherwise - its down on my knees again and praying again:
"Dear Lord Towsey,
who lives in Chartres,
hallowed be thy name,
give us this day our daily gold,
and forgive us our stupidity in buying,
as we will forgive the useless Board,
and don't tempt us into buying more,
but deliver us from this ever deepening evil hole,
or we will be digging fruitlessly, for ever and ever.
Amen.
