I am not trying to be extremely optimistic but I think that what stiffy said seems very likely.
assuming the rumorus are true major redundancies would be made in one of 2 situations

1)ATC rights procured by major pharma; ATC related staff now will have to be either made redundant or relocated. AVX is a small co without any production/royalty revenue at the moment so redundancy is possible -- a news that can only be broken to the staff after market announcement:
    -indicators to this possibility:
"In October 2009, Avexa announced that it would
close the study early and analyse the data, after discussions with regulatory authorities and potential partners".(avexa news march 2010)
study would be closed early if partners were keen or there were major problems in the study

2)ATC found by FDA to have major problems - that were initially covered up by staff need to fire them

(unlikely because if there were major issues they would show up a 144weeks, and the major benfits attributed to ATC are its safety profile and less chance of drug resistnace)

    as a disclaimer:
any S.ensless H.orrible I.ncocievable T.rouble can happen in any company and as you all know i dont know a thing
