In the end, gold will be the world's premier recognised capital. The events in Euroland are making that abundantly clear.
Governments will be forced to kneel before it and beg for forgiveness. It may even be granted tax-free status just to get it to the surface.
Fear not. If taxes threaten, sit on your stash. You watch how that threat works for the miners over Krudd's current stupidity. The resource rent tax will be watered down to the point where it will be virtually cost neutral to the miners. It will only continue to exist by name - to save face for Krudd.
