I think our expectations were a bit high and the plague slowed everything down as well, but stage 2 funding was secured within an hour or two and construction went pretty damn well under the circumstances. This was much more important than resource expansion, which is inferred at 3x give or take, and stage 3 approval at this stage. If I had to choose one of the three, it would be saleable product coming out. Permits and resource don't matter if you can't churn it out anyway.

So yeah, a rough couple of years but I measure success more by the hardships you overcome than the wins. BTW, the Mrs and I saw more upside potential in staying together and now we're where we wanted to be living with the mortgage paid off, plenty of time for the kids, each other and some good psych support. Much better than being two single parents having to work full time and not having the space to work out our sh1t individually, let alone as a family.

Lesson: stick with something you believe in and give it the attention it needs, reassess it constantly, find the flaws if they're there but don't take common advice into your unique situation. You can't convince everyone that you know what you're doing and you don't need to.
