    Yes of course, Xi is talking about a wall of steel to protect its interests.

    That is at least a promising start to make friends, don't you think?

    I would say the DRC has had also a good hard look at Sri Lanka and the debt trap some of its African neighbours are in.

    If you believe the Chinese are the flavour of the month in the DRC, I strongly advise you to do some more reading.
